Why I never offer free exploratory sessions?

I know most of the coaches and consultants out there offer a free discovery session for anyone willing to book their services. I never do that.

Even as a client, I never get the idea of a free session. Why?

Well, first of all, I think we should really value time. I pay not only for the service, but I pay for the time someone spends with me, for his interest in my story, for the listening and the curiosity.

Second of all, I never had a useless discussion with a possible client. Never. And I hope everyone I meet will be as hungry as myself to learn, to hear, to be open and to share experience.

Ultimately, I hate those discovery sessions that are only for lead qualification. If I am a possible client, make me feel that i am out-of-the-funnel, that I am special and that you care. And it is fair and ok that I have to pay for it.
